SOL Re-Takes in December and January!

Seniors needing an SOL for graduation will be tested in December and January.  See your guidance counselor if you have any questions.


Underclassmen who passed the course, but did not pass the
SOL, can request to retake the SOL in December/January.

Financial Aid Night!

There will be a "Financial Aid Night" for students and parents of Prince William County Schools on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 7:00 pm.  This presentation will occur at Garfield High School in their auditorium.

Caps and Gowns!

Herff Jones will be returning to Potomac Senior High School on November 10 and 11, 2009 for Cap and Gown orders.  They will be at a table in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts.

Order forms have been distributed to Seniors during their Government classes and additional forms may be found in the Main Office or the Guidance Office.

Report Cards to be Sent Home!

The first marking period for school year 2009-2010 ends November 2, 2009. Potomac Senior High report cards will be sent home with students November 10, 2009 during first period.  Ask your student to share his or her report card with you.

The Gradebook module and Grade Reporting module will not be accessible while grades are being processed.  They will be available again on or about November 10, 2009.

Mandatory Parent Driver Education Meeting!

Mandatory Parent Driver Education Meeting

(must attend one of the 20 meetings offered)

 

Prince William Partners for Safe Teen Drivers is a program requiring parents to be involved in the learning process of their student drivers. Parents of students taking road and range instruction in Prince William County Schools are required to attend one of the scheduled meetings to learn how to be a supporting partner in their child’s driver education experience.

 

Parents will receive a certificate at the conclusion of the mandatory meeting. This certificate will be turned into the driver education instructor before your student will be able to receive their provisional driver's license.

Winter Sports!

Winter sports will begin on November 16, 2009.  Students must have a completed physical to be able to tryout for any team.  Forms are available in the front office at Potomac Senior or click here to print out the physical form.

Physical forms must be dated after May 1, 2009 to be valid for the Winter Season!

Staff from the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) will be presenting information on the changes reflected in the final state regulations that were enacted on July 7, 2009.

A question and answer period will follow.

There is no cost for the class. Class size is limited to 50 participants.

be requested by Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

 

Childcare will be provided for a small fee.

Childcare must be requested by Thursday, November 12, 2009.
